PCB supply chain, new factories are put into operation and blooming everywhere

In order to cooperate with customers to diversify geopolitical risks, the PCB industry production capacity sector has begun to move. Dynamic Holding (3715) Thailand factory will start mass production in August ahead of schedule; Zhen Ding-KY (4958) Thailand factory will be capped in late August; GLOBAL BRANDS MANUFACTURE (6191) subsidiary ENLA's new factory in Malaysia was completed and opened in September. In 2025, at least five board factories in Thailand will ignite new production capacity and begin to inject revenue. New factories in the PCB supply chain have been put into production everywhere, further announcing to customers the third manufacturing capabilities.

If PCB upstream consumables factories are counted, as well as CCL's leading ELITE MATERIAL' new factory in Malaysia, the first phase of production capacity will be put into operation in early 2025; drill needle and drilling foundries KEY WARE and Topoint have both settled in Thailand, and will start operations in the fourth quarter respectively. In terms of mass production and trial production, if we add KEY WARE's new factory in Hubei Huangshan Industrial Park, which is expected to be put into operation in September, and FCCL factory TAIFLEX's new factory in Thailand, which will be put into operation in May, there will be at least five new factories for PCB upstream consumables factories to be put into operation this year and next year.

PCB is known as the mother of the electronics industry. PCB-mounted electronic components are used in any terminal device. With the introduction of AI in the cloud and edge budgets, the demand for higher-layer PCBs is boosted. In addition, automotive and AI PCs / NB and AI mobile phones have driven the demand for HDI boards, and the consumption of PCB production capacity has exceeded before. Taiwan is a major PCB production country. In response to the needs of customers China+1 and even Taiwan+1, almost every board factory has launched new production capacity layout in third places. , without relocating mainland production capacity, new production capacity will be deployed in Southeast Asia, with the highest density in Thailand.

According to the current mass production schedules released by various PCB board factories, Dynamic's Thailand factory has been put into production in August ahead of schedule, and the annual depreciation is estimated to reach 1.4 billion yuan. Before the end of this year, Dynamic's Thailand factory phase 1 and Huangshi 2 factory will be completed. The HDI production capacity of the second phase of the plant is expected to be fully loaded. Dynamic expects that the average utilization rate in the third quarter is expected to reach a high level of 90%, and due to the increase in HDI ratio, ASP is expected to grow quarter by quarter.

The progress of the Zhen Ding-KY Thailand factory is also slightly better than expected. The factory will be capped on August 26. It will be certified and start small-scale production in mid-2025. The applications will be locked in vehicles, servers and network communications.

In addition, the new factory in Malaysia of ENLA, a subsidiary of GLOBAL BRANDS MANUFACTURE that increased its investment this year, will be completed and opened in September. The chairman of the group, Jiao Youheng, and local officials will personally unveil the factory.

The peak of the second wave of new factories in Thailand will be put into operation in 2025. New factories in Thailand including COMPEQ MFG, GOLD CIRCUIT ELECTRONICS, Unimicron, Unitech, CHIN-POON and other new factories in Thailand will continue mass production and contribute to revenue one after another.
